El Fraile - Carabao Island

Boat Ride going to El Fraile

El Fraile Island

This was not an ordinary trip. This place is monitored my Marines. We are luck we had a permission to check out this historic island.
El Fraile is one of the last standing fortress in the Philippine History during WWII.  The americans build this island as a battleship-like bombing island against the Japanese.

On the way the El Fraile

At first, the boatmans don't want us to get inside the island because its dangerous. The waves can get stronger every minute so it will be very difficult to get near the island. Luckily, we were able to insist the boatmens to let us in and I volunteer to be the first one to climb the part where I need to attach some ropes from the boat to the structure.
Finally, Were insuide

Creepy and total darkness

Last shot before we leave El Fraile.
Carabao Island

This Island is one of the hideout/supply facility/medical hospital of the americans who fought during the war.

Tons of bats everywhere

Cayugno Cove
